Recognition of Donors

The Chaffee Society

The Chaffee Society is the Boise State University Foundation’s premier giving society, named in honor of President Emeritus Eugene B. Chaffee, the guiding force behind the expansion of Boise Junior College and its evolution into Boise State University.

For thirty-one years Dr. Chaffee served as President of BJC, becoming one of Idaho’s best-known educators and bringing national recognition to the college.  Appropriately, the Chaffee Society recognizes those who have provided the highest level of support to Boise State University.

Membership Qualifications

Annual membership in the Chaffee Society is extended to those who contribute $1,000 or more within a twelve-month period to the Boise State University Foundation. Gifts may be designated for restricted or unrestricted use. Giving levels within the Chaffee Society are as follows:

  • President's Club - $5,000 and above
  • Dean's Circle - $2,500 to $4,999
  • Chaffee Associates - $1,000 to $2,499

Benefits and Recognition

It is impossible to fully express the university’s gratitude for generous benefactors, but we do have the opportunity to say “thank you” by offering the following privileges to members of the Chaffee Society.

  • Invitation to an annual luncheon hosted by the President of the university;
  • Invitation to many special events on campus;
  • Special publications issued by the university;
  • Inclusion in the University Advancement Annual Report.

And, of course, the satisfaction that comes from helping to support the educational needs of Boise State University.
